How to clear Smarsh cookies from an internet browser

This article will cover Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge and Microsoft Internet Explorer in removing Smarsh specific cookies.  
All users who are receiving an error on accessing app.smarsh when the platform should otherwise be accessible or available. 

For Google Chrome:

  1. Navigate to app.smarsh.com.
  2. Locate the connection status icon directly to the left of the website address and click on it.
  3. A new window should appear; Click on Cookies and Site Data.
  4. Click on Manage on-device site data
  5. Locate both smarsh.com and app.smarsh.com and click Remove.
  6. Close out of any and all browser windows and restart your browser.
  7. Navigate to app.smarsh.com; you should now be able to log in as expected. 

For Mozilla Firefox:

  1. Navigate to app.smarsh.com.
  2. Locate the padlock icon directly to the left of the website address and click on it.
  3. A new window should appear; click on Clear Cookies & Site Data.
  4. Locate both smarsh.com and app.smarsh.com and click Remove.
  5. Close out of any and all browser windows and restart your browser.
  6. Navigate to app.smarsh.com; you should now be able to log in as expected. 

For Microsoft Edge:

  1. Navigate to app.smarsh.com.
  2. Locate the padlock icon directly to the left of the website address and click on it.
  3. A new window should appear; Click on Cookies.
  4. Locate both smarsh.com and app.smarsh.com and click Remove.
  5. Close out of any and all browser windows and restart your browser.
  6. Navigate to app.smarsh.com; you should now be able to log in as expected. 

For Microsoft Internet Explorer:

Please note: Unlike the above browsers; Internet Explorer does not allow for selective cookie removal. The below process will remove ALL cookies stored.

  1. Click the gear icon in the upper right of any browser window.
  2. Click on Internet Options.
  3. In the General tab; click on the Delete... button under Browsing History.
  4. Uncheck all options other than Cookies and Website Data and click Delete.
  5. Close out of any and all browser windows and restart your browser.
  6. Navigate to app.smarsh.com; you should now be able to log in as expected.
